Data Scientist (Application Engineering) (m/f/d)

As chemometrics and the corresponding data base are key issues for SENORICS' technology, we are hiring a highly experienced chemometrician and data scientist. You get the opportunity to work in an extremely motivated and experienced start-up team.

Objectives and Tasks

  • Enabling Senorics’ technology for customer applications
  • Evaluating and enabling of spectroscopic applications with Senorics’ hardware solutions
  • Adapting chemometric models to hardware, environmental and customer specific needs
  • Applying technical skills to plan and execute assigned project work including design of experiments, data management, data pre-processing, descriptive data analysis and modelling
  • Preparing, developing and maintaining operational capabilities of computational assets as needed by project requirements

Your Profile

  • Degree in natural sciences (diploma / master in physics, chemistry or mathematics), preferably PhD
  • 3+ years experience in data analysis of spectroscopic data, preferably NIR data
  • Experience with acquisition of spectroscopic data, preferably with handheld devices
  • Proficiency in R/Python and related commonly used packages preferred
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and to interact effectively with individuals on multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Team player with a positive attitude
